Mobility Project

My take on this is it is time to move, play and enjoy your life. At the end of the day looking after your body a choice! Make the right choice now to make a change to your body and your life.

This mobility series will help you understand why you get aches and pains in your body, so you become more AWARE of your limitations and are able to address your issues without spending hundreds of dollars every week on physio appointments. I would like to thank Kelly Starrett,  founder of Sanfracisco Cross fit  and Mobility Wod for changing the way I look at  mobility to incorporate some of these cool ideas into my own routine as well my clients programs.

SELF AWARENESS is everything!

Most people don’t understand that what you tolerate you ACCEPT, but it’s a reality. Think about it. How much time do you spend every day sitting down at work, in traffic, in front of the TV or on the computer? You eventually accept this to be normal yet our bodies were designed to MOVE, not to sit.

As you can see from the diagram above a loss of tissue tolerance leads to poor biomechanics. This limits the body’s ability to produce, reduce, and stabilize force which creates the potential for pain and injury so it’s really important that we start to manage tissue quality and improve joint mobility.
By following this series and incorporating some of these mobility protocols into your day will change your life by improving the way you move and feel so make it a habit and get it done. Remember if it’s important do it EVERYDAY!
